Holy crap, I happened upon the greatest blog! They point out…obviously, Photoshop disasters. Found in ads, posters, catalogs, almost anywhere. Some of them are just horrible, and I find it hard to believe that any art director would let the images go out like that. Some of them are so bad, Im wondering if its a joke. Either way, this blog is quite entertaining.

Have you ever wanted to design a pair of Doc Martin boots?
Well now here is your chance.
They are doing a contest. The first year they did this was 2006, and the winning design is pretty damn good.

This is kind of cool, and I have never even known that this feature was even in Photoshop.
Basically you open two images, than have one mimic the color scheme of another.
Use a program everyday, yet miss out on so much of it.

While it is a one-trick-pony, nevertheless it does the job quite well. Before I found this, I would create a square graphic, add lines, make that a pattern in Photoshop, and fill a layer with the new pattern to check it. Of course I didnt match up right away, and that took a long time to get the lines to tile correctly, and I never quite got the right pattern I wanted, I just got a pattern that was good enough.

Ive been working on a new site, and there isnt alot of imagery, so I was trying to think of ways to make rectangles a little more interesting.
I dont know if they are trendy or played out, but I like the look of the rounded/bubble/plastic rectangles. But I didnt want to spend the time making each reflection one at a time and by hand. I was looking online for something free and fast and easy to achieve the look.
