I love vintage/classic circus graphic design and style. I love all the typography, the colors, the costumes. Its so kitchy and stimulating to me. Large striped tents, diamond patterns, yellows and reds, and lovely little glittered costumes…fabulous.

I was flipping through a graphic design book, and this guy really caught my eye. I love his style, his flow. Its so electric and smooth, items cut out, yet they blend well. Overall, its really yummy to me. I am really into complicated little details in graphic design images.

MTV and HP are doing this contest where you can design an HP laptop. Design the top/cover, the edge of the screen, and the area around the keyboard.
The theme is vague: “The cause that is most personal to you”. There are templates to download to work off of, and they have other designs already posted to view.
The website is just a little bit wonkey, but the contest is damn cool. I dont know a cause that is most personal to me, or at least something I can …

I went to L.A. last week for the closing of the greatest ride the world has ever known, the Back to the Future ride. I am, kind of a fan of the movies. I have personalized licence plates that say “outatym“, I have a flux capacitor tattoo, and other various bttf items. Im not the biggest fan by far, but Im way more than the casual enjoyer of the film. And I happen to be crazy over the ride, I mean crazy. Im not one of the few who live …

I have this tendency to obsess over something that doesn’t directly involve being on the computer, since Im on the laptop all day at work, I need a change when I get home. I tend to have projects that I get into from time to time. So, with me totally moved in to my place, Ive become this little obsessive interior decorator and arranger. My place is not that great, its not bad, but its not shockingly amazing when you walk in the front door. Its there. Its little, it …

Artscape is Baltimore art and music festival that happens every year. Its free, its crowded, the food is overpriced, and sometimes it can be fun. This year was my third time making it over. To me, the real title of Artscape is “PigoutOnOverpricedFoodAndMakeFunofStuffInTheSun
AndMaybeThereIsSomeArtAroundOrYouCouldListenToMusic”
But this year, as I was walking around, I saw the booth of Vladimir Ovtcharov, and I fell in love with the paintings.

I went to Barnes and Noble this weekend, and I happened to spot a tarot card box set on the shelves. Only this was a tarot deck like I had never seen before. It was a 50s retro styled tarot deck, with collage images in the style of advertising from the day. Its called “The Housewives Tarot” and I loved it instantly and of course I bought it.
After I got home, I wondered what other people thought of the deck, there are so many tarot decks out …

I just found this article today:
Ten Ways to Tame a Long Name
Thank You very much. I will mentally file this away and call upon it when I need it. And Im sure at some point, I will need this. Ive come across websites where I didnt know how to handle the long name, and I wish I saw this sooner.

Last week I was in Barnes & Noble, and my boyfriend spotted an issue of “Swindle Magazine” laying somewhere with the discount books. He thought it was so interesting, he showed it to me, and I bought it right away. It is just about the coolest magazine, for it is filled with little interviews about half a page long, about someone with some little interesting thing that they are doing.
Basically, this magazine is just STUFFED with a million things to inspire you, from the little interviews, to the way they …
