June 2007

What Ive been doing this month:
Got to going back to work, which is good since Ive been obsessing only over my new place and getting it settled. Ive been getting back on the old horse, back on my laptop and I need some projects to do to keep my mind flowing.

I think Im going to make an image about a special TV show from my youth.

The sites Ive been visiting:

April 2007

What Ive been doing this month:
Seems that this is a SLOW month for me as far as work goes. And by slow I mean, none. I havnt worked all month. Its quite frustrating and making me question if freelancing is right for me. Im not good at hustling for work.

The sites Ive been visiting:
I havnt been online much, I canceled my phone, I only have dial-up at my current place which I am moving out of soon, I havnt been going to work so getting online is something that doesnt happen much anymore.

Offline Projects:
With out much work, and my burlesque happening at the end of the month, Ive been obsessing over my costume. It is not a flashy costume, just something that seems to be more time consuming that I had anticipated.

March 2007

What Ive been doing this month:
I got over my annoyance with YouTube, and uploaded a few of my video clips to my DailyMotion account. Not as many views and hardly any comments and/or ratings…but at least theyre online and someone can find them if they want.

I also won the Project X event in DC on March 30th. I did an entry all about that. The whole thing was really fun for me, and maybe hopefully I can get some more work from doing that.

The sites Ive been visiting:

http://geeksugar.com/ - Even though the site is a bit too pink and girly for me, I still love that it shows me silly tech things all day.

Offline Projects:
Im taking burlesque classes in DC. Wow, I realize more and more I hate driving into DC every class I take, and Im only doing it because I really want to take these classes. My show is at the end of April, and its ganna be funny. Baltamorons really hate going into DC so much!! Its such a screwed up city, I swear. Not car friendly at all.

Im also moving, only a few miles away, but Im so glad to get out of the crappy place Ive been living in for the past year and a half. That place has been depressing me, and I deserve better. Im renting a little rowhouse in Baltimore, with a backyard so my kitty can enjoy that, and I cant wait to move for Im sure I will be happier to get away from my current place.

January 2007

What Ive been doing this month:
I spent my spare time at night working on the site for Baltimore 2Nite. That is a mock-up site, for sales purposes, to get revenue for a local TV show. The surprising thing for me, was when I was watching a new episode of “Desperate Housewives” and I saw a commercial for Baltimore 2Nite. ive never seen a TV ad for a website I was working on. I have seen banners in stores, but noting on TV yet.

In sad news, my YouTube account has been deleted! I was pissed to find that out. I had three files that created issues: one clip from South Park about evolution and “retarded fish frogs”, the next clip was from “So you think you can dance”, and the third clip was of a girl from “American Idol” someone marked as offensive. With those three files being flagged, all 35 of my videos and 55 favorites were deleted. Im angry and bothered that other people have clips from TV on YouTube, and their accounts are still active. So Im looking for another site, a youtube clone of sorts. I love uploading files that people find amusing and interesting. I miss doing it.

The sites Ive been visiting:

Light on Dark - Just found this great homepage gallery

Musicovery.com - An interactive online music site. This is fun and keeps me entertained through out the work day.

Offline Projects:
I got a bug in me, and it is telling me to work on joining a burlesque troupe. It will be fun, interesting, and most of all balance out my current web designing life.

December 2006

What Ive been doing this month:
Ive been trying to work on a gallery site for a friend of mine. The problem is that I can not come up with a good enough design. Ive been sketching and brainstorming and doing numerous half-assed designs, just that non of them “do it” for me. I want her to have a great design, for I am not very comfortable with just slapping up any website online.Im still working on it, and soon I will create a satisfactory layout.

The sites Ive been visiting:
http://www.bitlounge.net/retrolounge/index.htm - Ive been very much into the retro kick as of late. And this site is the perfect collection of what I spend alot of time searching for.

http://www.designflood.com/ - I came across this site listing website, and I just love the designs posted. They are more interesting, and creative than most site listing websites. Who finds these amazing designs?

Offline Projects:
I actually put up Christmas lights out infront of my house. Christmas lights make me happy and make me smile, and I was in a decent mood this holiday season.
