No. Our service can include full management of your systems:

• Planning and installation of software upgrades, fixes and new versions.
• Administration and daily operational support (log review, backup processing, etc.).
• Integration and interface with other elements of your organization, such as the application development function.
• On-site support for major system changes, administrative and status meetings, and critical problem resolution.

In short, we can take full responsibility for your system, if appropriate.

I already have my own IT staff. How can SkillExtend help me?

Our service can be tailored to provide specialized expertise that may be missing from your staff. We can serve as a backup when a key staff member is unavailable or assigned to other projects. We can smooth out the workload for your staff by supplying needed expertise for special projects.

How is SkillExtend priced?

In most cases, when specific tasks and responsibilities can be identified, SkillExtend is offered for a fixed monthly fee. This provides predictable results at a predictable cost. We absorb the risk that some months will be busier that others. SkillExtend contracts are generally offered for a one year period, with a 60 day right of termination.

When the effort is difficult to estimate, projects can be priced at an hourly rate .

My system software is out of date. Will you upgrade it as part of SkillExtend?

Yes. If substantial effort is required to bring a system up to a supportable configuration, we can provide a separate, fixed price estimate for this effort. Alternatively, we can offer a SkillExtend contract for a one-year period that does not provide for early termination, and the necessary upgrades can be performed as part of that contract.

We don't need software upgrades applied to our older systems. Do all SkillExtend contracts include software upgrades?

No, we can structure a SkillExtend contract to meet your specific requirements. The fixed monthly fee will reflect the tasks for which we're responsible.
